Verse - Where do we go right now Top of the world somehow What we can figure out Now I know that you’re top of the mind How I have missed your touch You get me off like it came from above If we can let it out We are moving on what is real Pre 1 - A wandering eye Is to look away from where it started Our head in the skies Is where we depart again Chorus 1 - I can remember when you gave your letter as an offering Love is whenever you can open it without desiring Verse 2 - Where do we go right now Looking around and round Reaching for what’s been found When we know that it’s sitting inside Pre 2 - To look through a lens When you know that this is where the heart is Around the bend Is where we can move on in Chorus 2 - I can remember when you gave your letter as an offering Love is whenever you can open it without desiring We can be better if we let go of the arms and questioning For now..is whenever we can be together in good company

Dismantle 04:29
Verse 1 - Delicate and bold Is what you are Fell into a storm Driven from afar And with my guard I thought that I would hold Tried to take control of where my heart is It fell into your home Delicate and bold Is what you are Pre 1 - I don’t know Why I get in the way I don’t know Why I try to dismantle Chorus 1 - Over walls We are falling Towards another plan Do-not-really-know How it all started But here we are again Over walls Where the heart is Towards another plan ..Don’t know how it all started But here we are again Verse 2 - Giving up the arms And it’s failings To think I’d get away Seeing more and more How a story Tries to lead the way Loosen all control Where the heart is It’s better in this place Delicate and bold Is what you are Pre 2 - I don’t know Why I get in the way I don’t know Why I try to dismantle Chorus 2 - Over walls We are falling Towards another plan Do-not-really-know How it all started But here we are again Over walls Where the heart is Towards another plan ..Don’t know how it all started Bridge I will not Hold Back-and Hide..again I will not Hold Back-with Bitter ends Outro - I will not Hold Back-and Hide..again

Wonder Why 03:59
Verse 1 - For a Little While Fly With The Utmost Pace A drink to the mornings grace To be in it all For a little while And finally We can collect our things That leaves us in all those things That we-can’t always see we’re in Pre 1 - And Why Oh Why We make our case To navigate this And why Each time Chorus 1 - Every time there’s heartache You can’t help the why You can’t help but wonder why Every time the wall breaks Just let it subside And let go of every why Verse 2 - To bring it on down Now why we on everything Lose it and find your speed And be in it all For a little while Now possibly We’re on a wire from this Why we afraid of this When it ain’t where it’s ever been Pre 2 - And why Oh why We make mistakes To navigate this And why Each time Chorus 2 - Every time there’s heartache You can’t help the why You can’t help but wonder why Every time the wall breaks Just let it subside And let go of every why Bridge - Navigate Why never reach you I can’t recall For nothing at all Wide awake I finally see you Magic to gold And I can’t recall my choices, all those voices Chorus 3 - Every time there’s heartache You can’t help the why You can’t help but wonder why Every time the wall breaks Just let it subside And let go of every why

Our Time 03:20
Verse 1 - We try to get out when it is storming Thinking we’ve been here a few times or more But if we can reason in the morning Maybe we’ll hear it from the heart/source* Pre 1 - But I know, when it's not easy to show ourselves The cost of this gets harder to ignore Chorus 1 - Don’t want to waste the night Thinkin' about what isn’t right don’t want to waste our time When you’re by my side Verse 2 - Listen back You are not the cause not the cause of the fallin' back It came one day Panick at a door, I was hesitant to try to break And if I’m an old man That ran away From what you gave me That looks back on all those plans That never came He never faced them Pre 2 - But I know, it’s getting harder to run off now When the cost of it, means holding from our heart Chorus 2 - Don’t want to waste the mind Thinkin' about what isn’t right Don’t want to waste our time When you’re by my side Don’t want to waste the hours Thinkin' about what isn’t right Don’t want to waste this time With you in my life Bridge - Every time we’re lost in the wake Were made to come out of it it’s just how it’s always been Every time where stuck in those ways Don’t lean on mistakes Give into your patience Chorus 3 - Don’t want to waste the light Thinkin' about what isn’t right Don’t want to waste your time With you by my side

Only You 02:53
Verse 1 - All in cover what you’re not tracking Looking for where your map is I can always see your passion Driven by all your lessons Hoping for any reason To get out of your own way Pre 1 - It’s like we’re moving on to another season And if I catch your eye Chorus 1 - Only you Give me all the things that were hidden away Only you Push me to a place that I’ve needed to face Only you Can take away everything Only you Driven by the things that I’ve wanted to say Verse 2 - Crash course Drifting in what we were here for Knowing that if we give it more Those weights will never drag on We’re lifted inside our own heart Not thinking about where it’s headings towards If we’re honest with ourselves Pre 2 - It’s like we’re drifting on from all those reasons Where we can face our eyes/lies Chorus 2 - Only you Give me all the things that were hidden away Only you Push me to a place that I’ve needed to face Only you Can take away everything Only you Driven by the things that I’ve wanted to say Bridge - Moving on from all those phases When you weren’t ready for when to give in Thinking it’s taking some time but there you’ve grown, all along And now we’re ready for what we’re dealing with Without letting the reasons hold it We’re turning a page on what we’ve known All along Chorus 3 - Only you Give me all the things that were hidden away Only you Push me to a place that I’ve needed to face Only you Can take away everything Only you Driven by the things that I’ve wanted to say

Bolinas Sky 02:57
Verse 1 - Light fades from common anthems Looking for a wild romancing Quiet in the day's last rays So hard to understand it And look back on the many questions If what they are is what won’t set it free Channel - If it’s written in the past Can we ever make it last Or is my mind playing tricks on me Verse 2 - Light fades with common anthems Move on from the many chances Comfort in what will be will be Let all the waking moments, Move on up, and move it forward ..Letting go of what’s already been Chorus 1 - Bolinas Sky Another world to reside inside Fog on the canyons Reel it in The more that we live in this Verse 3 - We carry on And put our hearts in it In this ride We can uncover it If we learn to let it show Light fades from common anthems Letting go of all the questions Quiet in the day's last rays And as we understand this Going in with where we’re at If what this is what will set us free

White Oak 03:51
Verse 1 - So much panic in these spaces In all our castles So hard to let go of our ways All the things we try to change No matter how hard the ache is Patience reveals it And just know that it will fall Chorus 1 - Still I go again Oh I longed for it White Oak I never reckoned it would come again Through the overhang We’ve been here again White Oak Heal our souls V2 - Going on about the past Thinking what will remain And giving us no credit on the changes Why base it on the facts The past is just the past We just look on back Take a chance a build a new path Chorus 2 - Still I go again Oh I longed for it White Oak I never reckoned it would come again Through the overhang We’ve been here again White Oak. Heal our souls Bridge - A cynic in your mind Thinking it’s a waste Making life a test In a war, we cannot change Call me a dropout Call me a freak Call me a hippy Call me anything Chorus 3 - Still, I go again Oh I longed for it White Oak I never reckoned it would come again Through the overhang We’ve been here again White Oak Heal our souls Outro - There’s a war we all face There’s a war we all handle There’s a war we can lead with some heart

Verse 1 - Looking back on another season So hard to imagine why Holding on for all those reasons Protection for a little while Pre 1 - Gone are the days where we fall for lies Bringing us in, with a little high It’ll let go with some peace of mind Cause I know….when it’s plain to see Yes I know…that you’re right for me Verse 2 - Moving on when we face some trouble Just know that we’re really trying When we’re in it may feel like a no-show But if we just give it time Pre 2 - Every day there’s a winding light Look at the thought, it will pass you by Lifting a lens, for a little while Cause I know, that it’s right for me Yes I know, that you’re right for me Verse 3 - Gone are the days when we fell for seasons Finding a cause for a getaway You found a reason, gave me your keys and Let me inside your resting place Chorus 3 - Cause I know that you’re right Yes I know that you’re right Let me in….to your dark Let me in…to your light Cause I know that you’re right Yes I know that you’re right I give in…to your dark I give in…to your light

about

Jeff Kolhede’s debut album, Dismantle, takes listeners down the path of self-acceptance and self-discovery through the lens of new love. In amongst the catchy guitar licks, inventive string arrangements, and rich vocal harmonies, the album’s core themes aim to unravel our preconceived notions of ourselves, inviting us to embrace the elusive experience of true satisfaction.

A multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer, and producer in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kolhede’s songwriting owes as much to jazz and R&B as it does to laidback 70s era rock’n’roll. By skillfully blending modernity with classic elements, Kolhede and his collaborators create a sonic tapestry that is both timeless and contemporary, perhaps most notably in the meticulous restraint showcased in Kolhede’s production, which nods to the likes of John Martyn and early Paul McCartney. Kolhede's relentless devotion to his craft and his range as both a producer and songwriter become clear on emotive tracks such as “Wonder Why," which features string arrangements reminiscent of Nick Drake’s best records, and in the intentional delicacy of Kolhede's saxophone and horn arrangements that frame "Our Time.”

Lyrically, Dismantle unveils a deeply personal and relatable narrative, where each memorable refrain is delivered with an expressive nuance and a disarming sincerity. It's as if Kolhede wants us to understand that the notion of finding light at the end of the tunnel is not merely a cliché, but a tangible reality waiting to be discovered. With every heartfelt verse, he implores us to believe we possess the power to unearth the very essence of what we have been tirelessly searching for.
